The Role

As a PHP team lead at eCarsTrade, you will be at the forefront of our platform's development, contributing to its scalability, reliability, and performance.
You will work alongside a talented team of developers and collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that drive business growth.

We are looking for a technical leader with expertise in PHP and popular frameworks (Symfony, Laravel), experience with complex systems, containerization (Docker), queues, and caching,



and who can improve the team's performance and inspire excellence within the team.

This is a hands-on role. A Team Lead at eCarsTrade is more of a developer than a manager (approximately a 70/30 split).

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of developers: plan their work, manage timelines and ensure code quality, improve development processes, mentor engineers.
Manage technical debt across owned services, take ownership of technology decisions.
Lead efforts to optimize backend performance, reliability, and scalability. Apply best practices and modern technologies to achieve these goals.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, product managers, frontend, ML developers and other teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Design, develop and enhance backend applications using PHP to support eCarsTrade's auction platform.
Utilize Docker for containerization and orchestration, ensuring seamless deployment and scalability.
