Imec is currently developing a cleanroom site in Malaga, Spain. As the Facilities & Infrastructure Manager, you are responsible to manage, maintain, operate and improve the buildings & facilities at the imec site in Malaga. The scope includes both hard (technical) and soft (non-technical) services. Prior to your assignment you will spend around 12 months at the headquarters of imec in Leuven to onboard, learn, support the development and commissioning of the facilities and grow your team.

What you will do

The FAIN (Facilities and Infrastructure) department in imec has the mandate to develop, engineer, manage, maintain and operate buildings and facilities required for the imec activities to excell.

As a Facilities & Infrastructure Manager you report to the imec FAIN Ops Director in Leuven, Belgium (with functional reporting to the Regional Managing Director in Spain). You play a key role in managing, maintaining, operating,



improving the imec building as well as the cleanroom processes in Malaga by:

Lead, coach and inspire a team of internal and external FAIN professionals by fostering a safe, inclusive and diverse working environment where the imec culture is actively lived. You create strong team engagement, support individual development, and act as a change ambassador within your team.
Managing relationships with relevant business owners (internal customers) within the site to ensure that needs are documented and delivered upon, by agreeing on targets, organizing regular follow-ups and adapting if necessary.
Ensuring that each asset (building, installations, outdoor areas…) is well managed throughout the lifecycle by proper engineering, construction, maintenance, repairs & improvements/innovations according to the applicable regulations, imec’s ambitions & industry standard.
