Experteer Overview As a Senior Backend Developer on Workato’s Engine team, you’ll build and optimize the Recipe runtime, focusing on execution, events, and webhooks at scale. You’ll work across Ruby and GoLang to ensure performance, durability, and security in a complex distributed system. You’ll contribute across the development lifecycle, review code, and explore new tech like Rust and WASM. This role anchors our scalable, cloud-native platform that powers real-time automation for enterprise customers. Compensaciones / Incentivos • Develop, extend, troubleshoot, and fix complex Ruby and Go applications and microservices • Improve the execution engine for Ruby DSL, isolation, and performance • Write well-designed, testable Ruby and Go code • Integrate data storage solutions (Postgres, S3, DynamoDB, Kafka, ClickHouse)



• Contribute across the full development lifecycle and perform code reviews • Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements to the system • Maintain code quality, organization, and automation • Explore new technologies (Rust, WASM) for future capabilities Responsabilidades • 5+ years of experience building scalable distributed backend applications • Strong understanding of web application infrastructure (databases, load balancers, app servers, message brokers, caching) • Proficiency with Ruby and GoLang (multilingual codebase) • Knowledge of DB technologies (SQL and NoSQL) • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, 7+ years of experience • Experience with Docker and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) • Experience with third-party REST APIs at scale Requisitos principales •
