Nexeo is currently looking for a Senior Data Reporting & Visualization Specialist to join the Data & Analytics team of one of our leading banking clients in Brussels.

You will join a data-driven and digital environment, playing a key role in transforming complex data into clear, actionable and impactful insights for business stakeholders. You will work closely with business teams, Data Engineers, IT and other technical experts to design and deliver interactive dashboards, reports and visualizations supporting strategic, tactical, operational and regulatory decision-making.

? Your Responsibilities

Data Visualization & Dashboard Development

- Understand and analyze reporting and visualization needs together with business stakeholders.
- Gather and translate business requirements into prototypes, dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Design clear, intuitive and interactive data visualizations that support decision-making.
- Develop, update, optimize, publish and decommission dashboards and reports throughout their full lifecycle.
- Build dashboards that transform complex data into clear and meaningful business insights.
- Ensure visualizations are adapted to the needs of different audiences, from operational teams to senior management.
- Continuously optimize reporting solutions in terms of usability, performance, automation and efficiency.

Data Preparation & Analysis

- Collect, prepare and assemble data required for dashboard prototyping and visualization.
- Perform light data preparation and transformation activities when required during the design and prototyping phases.
- Analyze data sources and identify the most appropriate data assets for reporting needs.
- Build a clear data story that supports business decision-making and helps identify the right solution for each business need.
- Work with structured data from Data Warehouses, Data Marts and other data sources.
- Ensure data used for reporting is consistent, reliable and fit for purpose.

Collaboration with Data Engineering & IT

- Work closely with Data Engineers to define and implement sustainable and industrialized data solutions.
- Contribute to the evolution of existing data assets based on new reporting and business requirements.
- Ensure that recurrent and critical reporting solutions are supported by robust, governed and reusable data structures.
- Promote data reuse, consistency and standardization, avoiding isolated or duplicated reporting solutions.




- Ensure proper traceability, consistency and monitoring of the underlying data structures.
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, Data Engineering and technical teams.

Reporting Governance & Data Quality

- Develop and implement reporting and data visualization best practices.
- Ensure dashboards and reports comply with established data governance, security and reporting standards.
- Act as a guardian and ambassador of reporting governance within the organization.
- Ensure appropriate handling, protection and use of business data.
- Apply data governance principles throughout the dashboard and reporting lifecycle.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting standards, processes and methodologies.

Stakeholder Management & Business Support

- Act as a key point of contact for internal customers regarding data reporting and visualization needs.
- Facilitate discussions and workshops with business stakeholders to clarify requirements.
- Challenge requirements when necessary and recommend the most appropriate reporting solution.
- Translate business questions into actionable data and visualization requirements.
- Support strategic, tactical, operational and regulatory reporting initiatives.
- Work effectively with stakeholders from different business areas, including Finance, Risk, Customer Experience and other functions.

Coaching & Knowledge Sharing

- Coach and support junior Data Visualization Specialists.
- Share best practices, methodologies and technical knowledge with the wider team.
- Document reporting solutions, processes and data usage.
- Create user documentation and guidelines.
- Train business users on how to effectively use reporting and visualization tools.
- Promote autonomy and data-driven decision-making among users.

? Your Profile

- At least 6 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Business Intelligence or a similar field.
- Master's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or a related field.
- Candidates with other academic backgrounds and strong analytical expertise are also welcome.
- Proven experience designing and delivering dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Previous experience in banking and financial services is mandatory.




- Strong understanding of business needs and ability to translate them into effective data visualization solutions.
- Experience working with business stakeholders, Data Engineers and IT teams.
- Previous experience in project management is an advantage.
- Comfortable working in Agile and digital environments.
- Ability to operate with a T-shaped skillset, combining deep expertise with broad knowledge across data and business domains.

? Technical Skills

Mandatory:

- Strong expertise in data visualization and dashboard design.
- Ability to prepare and structure data for visualization purposes.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehouses, Data Marts, data extraction and data preparation processes.
- Good understanding of data governance and data security principles.
- Understanding of data strategy and data management concepts.
- Experience with data reporting and visualization tools, including:
- Tableau
- SAP BusinessObjects
- MS Excel
- MS PowerPoint
- MS Access
- Experience with data preparation tools such as SAS Enterprise Guide.
- Ability to develop clear and meaningful data stories to support decision-making.

Nice to have:

- Power BI
- Python
- Experience with additional BI / Data Visualization platforms.
- Certifications in SAS Enterprise Guide, SAP, Tableau or related technologies.
