I'm currently supporting a leading organisation on the search for a Network Engineer to join a growing team responsible for critical network infrastructure across multiple European locations.
If you're someone who enjoys getting hands-on with networking technology, building configurations from scratch, troubleshooting complex issues, and understanding how and why networks operate, this could be an excellent next step.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure
- Managing and configuring routing, switching and firewall technologies
- Investigating and resolving network incidents and technical issues
- Supporting both operational activities and infrastructure projects
- Working across IT and operational technology environments
- Collaborating with teams across multiple European locations
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of networking experience
- Strong understanding of Routing & Switching (CCNA level or equivalent)
- Ability to configure network devices from scratch
- Experience using Cisco CLI
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto and/or Check Point firewalls
- Understanding of firewall policies, security principles and troubleshooting
- Basic scripting or coding capability (Python exposure is beneficial)
- Experience with monitoring, authentication, NAC or logging tools is advantageous
- Someone who understands networking concepts, not just following existing templates
