Four our client, one of Europe’s fastest-growing international high-tech manufacturing companies and a technology leader in advanced imaging. we are currently looking for a Field Application Engineerwho can help customers select, test and integrate advanced imaging products.

The products include high-performance imaging sensors, infrared cameras and camera cores for demanding industrial, scientific, aerospace and defense applications.

Your role

You will be the technical link between customers, Sales and internal engineering teams. You will understand how customers intend to use the camera, identify the most suitable solution and support its integration into the final system. The camera cores are often integrated into larger platforms, including systems used in aircraft, drones and helicopters.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting Sales during technical customer discussions and product selection
- Understanding customer requirements and translating them into clear technical specifications
- Supporting customers with camera configuration, testing and integration
- Managing evaluation cameras and ensuring they are correctly configured and fully functional before shipment
- Troubleshooting camera, electronics and image-quality issues
- Coordinating technical topics with R&D;, Manufacturing and Supply Chain
- Delivering product demonstrations, customer training and support at industrial and defense trade shows

Some customer questions require considerable technical depth. You may examine schematics,



investigate hardware or software behaviour and work with cameras using different sensors and wavelength technologies. However, this is not a purely research-focused position. The ability to communicate clearly and transfer technical information between customers, Sales and engineering teams is just as important as technical expertise.

Travel is a regular but manageable part of the role: approximately one or two trips per month within Europe, plus around one or two worldwide trips per year for customer visits, demonstrations or trade shows.

Your Profile

You ideally bring:

- An engineering degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Imaging Technology or a related discipline
- Experience and high level of expertise with cameras, imaging systems, image sensors or complex electronic products
- The ability to investigate technical and image-quality issues
- Excellent communication skills and the empathy and confidence to speak with customers, Sales and engineering teams
- Very high level of English skills
- An autonomous, curious and customer-oriented working style

Direct experience as a Field Application Engineer is highly valuable, especially within infrared imaging, machine vision, photonics or camera technology. At the same time, we are also open to experienced Product Engineers, Camera Systems Engineers,



Vision Engineers or Integration Engineers who combine strong product knowledge with excellent customer-facing communication skills.

Experience with infrared cameras, SWIR or LWIR technology would be a strong advantage. Candidates with solid camera and imaging experience who want to expand their expertise into advanced infrared technology are also encouraged to apply.
