Are you an experienced optical specialist looking for a reliable, long-term opportunity in Mallorca? An established optical retailer in Palma is hiring two dedicated optical professionals to join their team as a First-Class Optical Technician (Oficial de óptica). This is a full-time, permanent position based directly in Palma, offering stability and a structured work environment on the island.
In this role, you will be responsible for both workshop craftsmanship and direct customer interaction. Your day-to-day duties include:
Assisting customers with the selection and direct sale of optical products
Assembling and mounting lenses into a wide variety of eyewear frames with technical precision
Carrying out lens maintenance, adjustments, and repairs
Using basic computer applications to log orders, manage records, and complete routine tasks
To be considered for this opening, you should meet the following requirements:
A minimum of 36 months (3 years)



of documented professional experience in the optical sector
Proven practical proficiency in lens assembly, mounting, and repair tasks
Basic user-level computer literacy for daily workshop and sales administrative duties
Flexibility to work rotating shifts between Monday and Saturday
No specific formal academic qualifications are required, provided you have the necessary practical experience
What is offered for this position:
A permanent full-time employment contract (contrato fijo)
Gross annual compensation of 20,856 EUR paid across 12 monthly installments (with extra payments prorated)
Full-time schedule organized Monday through Saturday with two days off per week
Rotating shift structure: morning shift from 10:00 to 18:00, or afternoon shift from 12:00 to 20:00
