This role focuses on the development, design, and delivery of grid interconnection solutions, ensuring technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness across greenfield projects and acquisitions.The successful candidate will act as a key interface with grid operators (TSOs/DSOs), lead interconnection design and permitting activities, and contribute to technical due diligence processes.Key AccountabilitiesEvaluate the compliance of grid connection solutions with Regulatory requirements, Grid codes and Environmental and permitting conditionsReview all technical documentation and permits related to grid interconnection infrastructure.Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.Follow-up on all grid interconnection activities during the project lifecycleAct as the primary interface with Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and Distribution System Operators (DSOs).Participate in and support negotiations of grid connection agreements with utilities.Review and guide the conceptual and basic design of interconnection infrastructure, including Substations, Overhead and underground linesEnsure designs comply with National grid codes,



Utility standards and Environmental and permitting constraintsFollow-up on the permitting process for interconnection facilities.Coordinate and oversee the preparation of technical studies and documentation.Review and supervise work delivered by external engineering consultants and contractors.Analyse and interpret utility studies, including:Feasibility studiesPower flow and short circuit studiesStability and system impact studiesMonitor and assess utility network expansion plans for project alignment.RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.Relevant experience in grid connection / interconnection engineering, preferably in renewable energy (solar, wind, storage).Experience working with TSOs/DSOs and utility interfaces.Proven exposure to utility-scale infrastructure projects.Power systems analysisGrid codes and connection requirementsSubstation and transmission line designFamiliarity with power system studies (RMS and EMT, static and dynamic simulations).Knowledge of permitting processes and environmental constraints.Knowledge of Digsilent Power Factory, PSCAD and power systems simulation softwaresKnowledge on Microsoft Office tools including MS ProjectStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and external contractors.Analytical mindset with attention to detail.Proactive and solution-oriented approach.We want an energy transition for everyone from everyone!
