About the role
We are looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team and support the accounting activities of several European markets, including Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Portugal and Eastern European countries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting activities, including general ledger and bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepayments, payments and month-end closing activities, ensuring the accuracy of our financial information and compliance with internal accounting procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Post, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including both Balance Sheet and P&L; accounts.
- Manage accounting activities related to fixed assets and amortization, receivables, bad debt, prepayments, accounts payable, accruals, taxes and payroll.
- Perform bank reconciliations accurately and within established deadlines.
- Reconcile local stores,
including the posting of invoices and processing of payments.
- Support the month-end closing process, reviewing and reconciling transactions and ensuring all activities are completed in accordance with closing procedures and accounting standards.
- Prepare month-end reports and provide relevant financial information to support the Finance team.
- Process and monitor bank payments.
- Support the Accounting team in ensuring the timely payment of customers, suppliers and employees.
- Maintain strong accounting controls by following internal policies, procedures and applicable financial and regulatory requirements.
- Support initiatives related to regulatory changes and the continuous improvement of existing accounting processes.
- Collaborate with other members of the Finance team and contribute to the achievement of departmental and organizational objectives.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized professional who is comfortable working in an international and dynamic environment. The adecuado candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills and the ability to manage different priorities and deadlines.
Experience working with general ledger accounting, reconciliations and month-end closing activities will be particularly valuable.
