About The OpportunityHi, I'm Oussama Salimi, the Engineering Manager at N26, and I am looking for a Backend Engineer to join the Investments team here at N26.In This Role, You Will:Write high-quality, performant code (primarily Kotlin) and navigate the codebase fluently.Handle deployment, bug fixing, and incident handling with a high level of independence, taking features from concept to production.Act as a sparring partner for Product Managers during Product Discovery, ensuring technical decisions support the user experience.Share your learnings from GSDD projects with the wider team, turning individual curiosity into collective knowledge.Proven experience as a Software Engineer taking features from concept to production with minimal supervision.An "evidence over opinion" approach: you couple every critique of a problem with a practical proposal for its solution.Skills:Strong proficiency in backend development, with Kotlin being our default for new services.Experience working with Distributed Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka).Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and containerization (AWS, Kubernetes,
