Thalanor Dynamics
Madrid
Company Description Thalanor Dynamics is focused on building the next generation of autonomous counter–unmanned aircraft systems (C‑UAS), combining advanced sensing, perception, and control technologies. The team works at the intersection of robotics, computer vision, and data-driven decision making to address complex real-world security and defense challenges.
Joining Thalanor
Dynamics means contributing to high-impact autonomous systems that must operate reliably in dynamic and demanding environments.
You'll own the perception models: detection and tracking from onboard cameras, and the data, evaluation and deployment pipeline around them.
What you'll do
- Train and improve detection and tracking models, and prove the changes hold on real flight data.
- Build the evaluation pipeline: datasets, metrics, and the regression suite that decides what ships.
- Own the data path — collection from flights, labelling, curation.
- Deploy models to embedded GPUs and make them meet the latency budget.
- Read the relevant literature and make the call on what to adopt.
What you need
- 3+ years training and deploying vision models in production.
- Working knowledge of both convolutional and transformer-based vision architectures.
- Ability to diagnose a model's failure modes from data rather than from intuition.
- Strong Python. Enough C++ to work inside the onboard pipeline.
- Linux, Git.
- EU work authorization.
Useful
TensorRT or ONNX, quantization, Jetson or similar embedded GPUs, multi-object tracking, small-object or long-range detection, synthetic data and sim-to-real, ROS2.
Conditions
Indefinite full-time contract, on-site in Madrid, €50–60k. Direct ownership of the systems you build.
