Own the cloud efficiency roadmap end to end: identify the highest-leverage opportunities, coordinate with owning teams, and execute.
Partner with our FinOps function to turn their findings into implemented change, and feed engineering-level insight back to them.
Surface software architectural mismatches that cause inefficiencies that billing analysis alone cannot catch.
Drive Kubernetes efficiency at scale: resource hygiene, bin-packing, autoscaling, and right-sizing across multiple clusters.
Strong SRE or infrastructure engineering background with deep experience operating, debugging, and reasoning about large-scale distributed systems in production.
Demonstrated cloud cost optimisation at scale: commitment strategy, right-sizing, spot/preemptible, autoscaling, storage tiering,



and data-transfer/egress – the full surface, not just the obvious line items.
Architectural judgement – the ability to look at a system and identify when the infrastructure is wrong for the workload (over-provisioned, mis-chosen, or carried over from a context that no longer applies) and to propose what it should be instead.
significant experience with AWS.
Familiarity with the cost and performance trade-offs of common data stores (PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, DynamoDB, OpenSearch) – enough to influence which should be used and why.
Experience with additional cloud providers (GCP, Azure).
Strong automation skills in Go and/or Python.
