AECOM Buildings + Places is seeking a talented and visionary Architect to join our dynamic Architecture & Design team in Madrid. As part of our team, you will work on iconic and complex projects across Spain and internationally, collaborating with multidisciplinary experts in architecture, engineering, urban design, and sustainability. From concept to completion, you will be involved in the entire project lifecycle , contributing to solutions that leave a lasting impact.
We deliver world-class architecture and design for sectors including transportation, hospitality, healthcare, commercial, and mixed-use developments .
Our approach integrates high-performance design strategies , digital innovation (BIM) , and environmental responsibility , ensuring every project creates social and sustainable value.
You'll join a global network of 2,500 architects and a local team recognized for excellence and creativity.
Lead architectural project development from concept through construction, ensuring technical coherence,



buildability, and cost control at every stage.
Review and validate project documentation to guarantee accuracy, and consistency.
Align technical decisions with budget parameters, maintaining control over cost-impacting design choices.
Evaluate and integrate advanced systems, materials, and technologies that provide added value and competitive advantage to projects.
Liaise with local manufacturers and suppliers to assess, specify, and incorporate appropriate construction systems.
Conduct internal technical reviews and quality assurance processes across all project stages.
Degree in Architecture or Technical Architecture with 10-15 years of professional experience.
Proficiency in BIM-based environments and software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and collaborative platforms.
Demonstrated expertise in the development of construction details and technical solutions for complex projects.
Experience in construction phase supervision, including site visits and issue resolution.
Proven experience delivering projects for or in Spain, with knowledge of Spanish building regulations and standards (CTE, LOE, EHE).
English proficiency is also required.
