The Head of HR, EMEA will be responsible for leading the Human Resources function across the EMEA region, ensuring the effective implementation of the company’s global People strategy while adapting it to local business and market needs.
Based at the company’s headquarters in Madrid, the role will provide strategic and operational HR leadership across multiple countries, partnering closely with senior business leaders, country management teams and the global HR organization.
This is a broad, generalist HR leadership position, combining strategic thinking with strong operational execution. The successful candidate will lead and develop the regional HR team, act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and ensure consistency, quality and effectiveness across the full employee lifecycle.
Main functions
- Develop and execute the EMEA HR strategy in alignment with the company’s overall business objectives and global People strategy.
- Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to the EMEA leadership team and senior country leaders.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the region and act as a trusted advisor on people-related matters.
- Lead, manage and develop the EMEA HR team, ensuring clear objectives, accountability and high standards of performance.
- Lead regional talent management and succession planning initiatives in partnership with integral HR and business leaders.
- Drive the identification, development and retention of key talent across EMEA.
- Provide leadership and guidance on employee relations and complex people matters across EMEA.
- Ensure compliance with local employment legislation and company policies, working closely with local HR teams and external advisors where appropriate.
- Lead the people dimension of regional transformation and organizational change initiatives.
- Support leaders and employees through periods of growth, restructuring, integration or transformation.
- Drive HR transformation, digitalization and process improvement initiatives across EMEA.
- Identify opportunities to increase the efficiency, scalability and quality of HR services.
Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with significant experience in international and/or regional HR roles.
- Proven experience leading HR functions across multiple countries, ideally within an international or multinational organization.
- Previous experience managing and developing HR teams.
- Strong generalist HR background, with solid exposure to employee relations, talent management, organizational development, compensation & benefits, talent acquisition and HR operations.
- Experience partnering with senior executives and business leaders.
- Proven track record in organizational transformation, change management and organizational development.
- Experience working in complex, matrixed and multicultural environments.
