Olive Tree is currently supporting a Spanish renewable energy provider as they refine their internal operations and management habits. We are adding a Junior AI Automation Developer to our team to help build the technical support for these new rhythms. This is a full-time, fully remote position designed for someone starting their career in automation and logic who wants to work on practical, real world problems.
About the Role In our advisory work, we often find that teams get bogged down by administrative debt. This role exists to bridge the gap between a new management habit and the tools that make that habit easy to keep. You will work closely with our consultants to build small, reliable automations that capture decisions and track handoffs.
Instead of building massive or complex systems, your focus will be on creating the smallest possible technical solutions that solve real friction for the energy provider's leadership team. This role is remote, allowing you to focus on building clean logic without the interruptions of a traditional office environment.
What You Will Do
- Build simple workflows to automate the collection of meeting notes and action items for the project teams.
- Set up automated alerts and triggers to ensure that ownership of specific tasks is always clear to everyone involved.
- Assist in the creation of basic prompts to help summarize long internal documents into plain, readable summaries.
- Test automation logic to make sure information flows correctly between different tools without the need for manual data entry.
- Write clear, short documentation so that the client team understands how to use and maintain the automations you build.
- Identify spots in the client's current process where a small script or a simple bot could save hours of manual effort.
- Participate in internal team syncs to report on the health and performance of existing automations.
- Collaborate with consultants to map out how information moves from a meeting to a tracked task.
What We Are Looking For
- A logical approach to problem solving and a genuine curiosity about how systems work.
- The ability to write clearly and explain technical concepts in simple, everyday language.
- Comfort working independently in a fully remote environment while staying connected with the team through text and video.
- A high level of attention to detail when testing logic and data flows to ensure accuracy.
- Patience for troubleshooting when a workflow does not behave as expected and the persistence to find a fix.
- Willingness to learn new tools and adapt your technical approach based on the specific needs of the advisory project.
- Respect for deadlines and the ability to keep your own tasks organized and visible to the rest of the team.
Helpful Background
- Basic familiarity with automation tools like Zapier, Make, or similar logic-based platforms.
- A general understanding of how Large Language Models work and an interest in writing effective prompts.
- Exposure to simple scripting or low-code environments through school projects, personal interests, or internships.
- An interest in the renewable energy sector or how large businesses organize their daily operations.
- Familiarity with project management software or digital note-taking tools.
- Experience coordinating small projects or tasks, even if in a non-technical setting.
What We Offer This is a permanent, full-time role that is conducted entirely from your own home or preferred workspace. We operate as a remote firm and value the focus and quiet that this environment allows. The position is paid, and the compensation is competitive and attractive for an entry-level professional. You will have the chance to work on meaningful projects for a large energy provider while learning directly from experienced advisors. We provide the support you need to build your skills in a professional setting, focusing on work that is useful rather than work that is just for show.
About Olive Tree
Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear.
These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company's growth.
We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own.
The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
