You will join the Visibility Team of BASF whose mission it is to build an AI and big data fueled observability solution to predict, avoid and analyze complex disturbances in BASF’s global infrastructure. The team provides and develops the platform that stakeholders such as infrastructure operations, application teams and other business partners can get the required insights from. Aim is to give BASF an end to end visibility solution for Application Performance Management (APM), Network Performance Monitoring (NPM) and IT Infrastructure Monitoring (ITIM).
Responsibilities
Understand the needs of internal Business Partners and their use cases regarding observability.
Steering of managed services.
Own end-to-end accountability for the BASF observability landscape—from infrastructure design and tooling development through CI/CD deployment, operational monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Combine the strengths of observability tools in place, e.g.
Grafana.
Gigamon.
Traffic Broker.
Zabbix.
Cisco.
Thousand Eyes.
ELK.
Find additional ways to leverage the collected system data to generate value for BASF.
Leverage AI capabilities to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort in daily business
Qualifications
Good overview across enterprise IT landscape architectures.
Expertise in network infrastructure desirable.
Proactive mindset.
Cloud experience (AWS, Azure) highly beneficial.
Python/JavaScript/Shell scripting.
Experienced in using code repository (GitLab
