The challenge:

Green Eagle builds mission-critical energy optimisation systems. Our platform processes real-time telemetry from renewable assets and integrates with control centres and grid operators through industrial protocols. When it degrades, energy production is affected directly. That constraint shapes every architectural decision here.

We are scaling the engineering organisation,



and our architecture and technical standards need to evolve with it. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will own the most ambiguous, cross-cutting technical problems in the company: scalability, reliability, architectural simplification and the quality of technical decision-making across teams. Much of the structure you will work within does not exist yet. You will help create it.

This is a senior IC role. You will not manage people. You will set technical direction, mentor senior engineers and Tech Leads, and create leverage across multiple teams. Your first months will go into understanding the products, the architecture and how the organisation actually works before proposing changes to any of it. From there, your impact will come from solving systemic problems and raising the technical ceiling of the organisation, not from owning a backlog.
