Mosaic Conseil is a boutique remote workshop that treats business artifacts as physical objects to be disassembled and rebuilt. We work on the bench, taking apart three year plans, pricing grids, and diligence files, then putting them back together using only the evidence found in the invoice ledger. We do not produce slide decks or maintain standing retainers.
Instead, we deliver the original file redrawn by hand and supported by a written argument. We are currently applying this precise methodology to a significant engagement with a leading Spanish telecommunications partner.
About Mosaic Conseil
We are a small, independent firm by choice. Our remote structure allows us to focus entirely on the evidence at the floor of the business without the distractions of traditional corporate environments.
Every piece of work we produce carries two names: one person who builds the artifact and one person who argues against it. This builder and challenger model ensures that every assumption is tested before a file is closed. Our clients in financial services, industrial networks, and healthcare systems come to us because we provide clear, written truths rather than vague presentations.
We stay small so that the people doing the analytical work are the same people who answer the phone when a client calls.
What you would do In this internship, you will support the operational flow of our project work, specifically assisting with our engagement for the Spanish telecommunications partner. You will help manage the documentation and timelines that govern our builder and challenger process. Your work will ensure that no step in the auditing or rebuilding phase is overlooked.
- Organize the delivery and receipt of business artifacts between our internal team and the telecommunications partner.
- Maintain the project logs that track the arguments made by challengers and the revisions made by builders.
- Assist in cross referencing business models against raw ledger data to ensure numerical accuracy.
- Help draft the initial written summaries that explain the changes we have made to a client file.
- Coordinate the schedule for our ninety day support period, where we provide telephone answers for completed files.
- Monitor project milestones to ensure that our deep work periods are protected from unnecessary interruptions.
- Provide basic analytical support by organizing data sets before they are handed over to the modeling team.
Helpful background This is an entry level role designed for someone who is organized, curious, and comfortable with remote work. You do not need a long history of professional management, but you must be able to demonstrate a logical approach to solving problems. We value intellectual honesty and the ability to stay focused on a single task until it is finished.
- A basic understanding of business documents like balance sheets or project plans.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and the ability to organize data clearly.
- Strong writing skills, as our primary output is written arguments rather than visual slides.
- A preference for working independently in a remote setting.
- The ability to follow a precise process without cutting corners.
- Comfort with asking questions when a piece of evidence does not seem to fit the model.
- Familiarity with digital tools used for file management and remote communication.
How we work Our workshop is fully remote and operates without the theater of constant meetings.
We schedule only what is necessary, leaving the rest of the day for deep, focused work. We rely on clear writing and direct telephone communication. The atmosphere is professional and intellectual: we care more about the validity of the argument than the status of the person making it. Because this role is remote, you will have significant autonomy over how you manage your daily tasks, provided the project requirements are met with precision. Every file we handle is treated with the same level of care, whether it is a small pricing grid or a complex network model for our telecommunications partner.
What the role offers
This is a paid internship, and the compensation is competitive for the current market and the level of responsibility involved. Beyond the pay, you will gain exposure to a unique way of consulting that prioritizes substance over style. You will learn how to audit and build business models by observing the rigorous builder and challenger dynamic.
There are no juniors here in the traditional sense, so you will be working directly with experienced professionals who handle their own work. The remote nature of the role provides a high degree of flexibility and removes the need for commuting or office politics. You will finish this internship with a clear understanding of how to manage complex analytical projects from start to finish.
The work we do at Mosaic Conseil is quiet and focused. It requires a specific type of discipline to look at a ledger for hours and find the one entry that changes a three year forecast. We look for people who find that process satisfying and who believe that a well written argument is more valuable than a hundred slides. By supporting our work with the Spanish telecommunications partner, you will become part of a team that values evidence above all else.
