Job Description:

An opportunity for a *Landing Gear Engineer* has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in *Getafe (Madrid)*.

The selected candidate will join the *Landing Gear Design Office Team* within the Military Air Systems Engineering organization.

Our multidisciplinary and multicultural team is responsible for the end-to-end engineering life cycle of landing gear systems across military platforms. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the *A-400M Program*, taking ownership of complex system architectures and structural designs. You will face key technical challenges in qualification, certification, and in-service support, ensuring our products meet the highest safety, operational, and industrial performance standards.

Responsibilities

The main tasks of the jobholder will be:
- *Design and specify* Landing Gear systems, subsystems, components, and structural architectures according to safety, quality, cost, and operational requirements.
- *Perform load, stress, and risk analyses* to qualify and certify Landing Gear modules throughout the system lifecycle.




- *Drive system integration and V&V;* (Verification & Validation) processes, ensuring full alignment with A-400M program configuration and safety standards.
- *Manage continued airworthiness* and deliver technical risk and safety assessments for critical operational challenges.
- *Provide expert engineering support* to MAP (Mise Au Point), Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and customer support functions.
- *Lead technical interactions with suppliers* and internal stakeholders, anticipating program needs and resolving critical challenges.
