Position Overview
We are looking to recruit a Quality & Safety Support – Base Maintenance for our maintenance base in Lleida, providing support to the Quality and Safety Department in overseeing hangar activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the continuous monitoring of Base Maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with EASA Part-145 requirements, the MOE, internal procedures, and quality and safety standards.
The role includes conducting audits and inspections, monitoring processes, identifying deviations, and following up on corrective actions, while supporting the Safety Management System (SMS) through hazard and occurrence reporting and investigations.
The position will report directly to the Compliance and Safety Control Manager and work closely with Base Maintenance management and relevant departments.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Compliance
Monitor daily Base Maintenance activities in the hangar, ensuring compliance with EASA Part-145, MOE, and internal procedures.
Verify the correct implementation of maintenance procedures and specific Base Maintenance procedures.
Identify and report to Quality Department deviations, non-compliance, or areas for improvement detected during operations.
Follow up on corrective actions resulting from audits, inspections, or identified deviations.
Prepare Quality and Compliance reports and records of activities performed at base.
Support the implementation, review, and continuous improvement of procedures applicable to hangar operations.
Audits & Inspections
Conduct internal audits and inspections of Base Maintenance activities, facilities, and processes in line with our Audit Programme.
Document audit and inspection results and report them to the Compliance and Safety Control Manager.
Follow up on findings, observations, and corrective actions to closure.
Provide support during AESA, customer, and other external organisation audits carried out at base.




Safety Management System (ISMS)
Support the implementation and monitoring of the SMS within Base Maintenance activities.
Identify and report hazards, occurrences, and safety-related conditions.
Participate in occurrence investigations and Safety analyses.
Contribute to Safety Reports, risk assessments, and trend analyses under the Safety Manager’s coordination.
Monitor the implementation of Safety mitigation actions and measures within the hangar.
Promote the proper use of the reporting system and a strong Safety and Just Culture.
Training & Awareness
Support preparation and delivery of training sessions, briefings, and awareness activities related to Quality, Compliance, and Safety.
Support the communication and implementation of new procedures, regulatory requirements, and lessons learned from audits, occurrences, and investigations.
Actively promote a strong Safety, Compliance, and Just Culture among Base Maintenance personnel.
Minimum Requirements
Degree or technical qualification in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Management, Industrial Engineering, aircraft maintenance, or a related field.
Previous experience in civil aircraft maintenance, preferably within EASA Part-145 and Base Maintenance environments.
Good knowledge of EASA Part-145 requirements and compliance systems.
Experience or knowledge in Quality/Compliance, auditing, or Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Analytical skills and ability to prepare clear, structured reports.
Good written and spoken English.
Ability to work autonomously and coordinate with relevant departments.
Occasional availability to travel.
Valid B driving licence.
Valuable Qualifications
Specific training in EASA Part-145, Quality Auditing, or SMS.
Training in Human Factors (HF), EWIS, FTS, or other relevant aircraft maintenance topics.
Knowledge or training in Part-M / Part-CAMO.
Previous experience in Base Maintenance environments.
