As a Fire Protection Engineer, you'll collaborate with diverse teams to design and implement safety systems that protect some of the world's most critical infrastructure.Key job responsibilitiesDesign and oversee comprehensive fire protection systems for data centers worldwideCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement fire safety solutionsReview and ensure compliance with international fire protection standardsProvide technical guidance on fire protection engineering mattersSupport continuous improvement of design standards and methodologiesA day in the lifeYour day will be a dynamic blend of technical expertise and collaborative problem-solving. Together, we're committed to developing sustainable, secure, and efficient data centers that support global technology infrastructure.- Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities- Experience researching new designs,



technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities- Experience in design engineering or the construction industry, including fire suppression systems, fire alarm and detection systems, fire-resistive construction, and life safety- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents- Experience with fire and building codes and standards, including the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), National Electrical Code (NEC), FM Global standards, International Fire Code (IFC) and the Comprehensive International Building Code (IBC)- Knowledge of BS & ICC Codes, NFPA Standards, and FM requirements- Experience with performance-based fire protection designAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
