Mosaic Conseil is currently working with a leading Spanish telecommunications partner to examine their underlying financial and operational data. We are looking for an intern to join our small remote team to help us take these complex artifacts apart and rebuild them based on empirical evidence. Mosaic Conseil operates as a small, remote workshop dedicated to rebuilding one business artifact at a time. Whether it is a three-year plan, a pricing grid, or a diligence file, we take things apart on the bench and put them back together against the evidence of the invoice ledger. The process is personal and focused. We do not work on standing retainers and we do not produce slide decks. Instead, we return the same artifact a client sent, redrawn by hand and supported by a written argument. We keep the workshop small on purpose to ensure that the people who do the work also answer their own phones. By staying small and remote, we remain independent and focused on the evidence at the floor of the business.

What you would do
In this role, you will assist in the auditing and reconstruction of data models. Specifically, you will be working with data from our partner in the Spanish telecommunications sector to ensure their operational models reflect reality. Your day-to-day tasks will involve:

- Cleaning and organizing large sets of subscriber and infrastructure data to identify discrepancies.
- Testing the assumptions in financial models against presente ledger entries and historical performance.




- Building small, precise analytical tools to automate the verification of recurring revenue streams.
- Drafting written arguments that explain why a specific piece of data does or does not support a client's business case.
- Acting as a challenger for models built by other team members, looking for logical gaps or data errors.
- Supporting the preparation of final artifacts that will be returned to the client for their ninety day support period.

Helpful background
We are looking for someone who enjoys the quiet discipline of analytical work. Since this is an internship, we do not expect years of professional experience, but we do look for a specific set of interests and basic competencies:

- A strong grasp of logic and a healthy skepticism toward unverified numbers.
- Basic proficiency in tools used for data manipulation, such as Excel, SQL, or Python.
- The ability to write clearly and concisely in English. We value written arguments over verbal presentations.
- A background in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field of study.
- Curiosity about how large businesses, like a major telecommunications provider, actually function at the transaction level.




- Comfort working in a fully remote environment where communication is asynchronous and documentation is vital.

How we work
Our work is defined by the builder and challenger model. Every file carries two names on the cover: one person who builds and one who argues against what was built. This ensures that every assumption is tested before a file closes. We do not have internal meetings that are not strictly necessary and we do not use corporate theater to explain our findings. We focus on four specific rooms: financial services, industrial networks, growing software companies, and healthcare systems. Working here means spending your time in deep work, focusing on the evidence found in the data rather than on managing perceptions.
