The Product Manager owns the strategy, roadmap, and commercial performance of the soldering and sintering materials product range within the electronic assembly portfolio. This role combines market and competitive analysis, new product introduction, lifecycle management, and pricing/profitability ownership. The Product Manager acts as the central point of expertise on the product range, bridging R&D;, sales, and customers to ensure the portfolio remains technically competitive, commercially profitable, and aligned with market needs.
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain the long-term and short-term product roadmap for the soldering and sintering materials range.
Identify growth opportunities, market gaps, and new product directions in line with business objectives.
Translate company strategy into concrete product priorities and investment decisions.
Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies relevant to electronic assembly materials.
Analyze competitor products, pricing, and market positioning on an ongoing basis.
Build and maintain market intelligence to inform product and go-to-market decisions.
NPI / NPD (New Product Introduction / Development)
Define product specifications and requirements based on customer and market input.
Drive the stage-gate review and commercialization process from concept to launch.
Coordinate cross-functionally with R&D;, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure on-time, on-spec product launches.
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement programs across the existing product range.
Manage the product discontinuation strategy, including phase-out planning and customer communication.
Maintain up-to-date product documentation (datasheets, specifications, compliance information) throughout the lifecycle.
Analyze product margin, profitability, and cost structure across the range.
Monitor market pricing and competitive positioning to guide pricing strategy and adjustme
