General Description
The PPA & Energy Origination Specialist will be responsible for structuring, negotiating and executing long-term energy contracts, including PPAs and structured power agreements, with the aim of maximizing the commercial value of Finerge's renewable energy portfolio.
Acting as a key interface between the Energy Management, Finance and Legal teams and external counterparties, the role will contribute to optimizing asset monetization while balancing risk, pricing competitiveness and portfolio stability.
The position will play a key role in shaping portfolio revenues by originating and securing bankable energy contracts, optimizing revenue streams and managing market exposure through structured energy deals.
Establish and manage relationships with off-takers, including utilities, corporates, traders and industrial consumers.
Originate and develop commercial opportunities for renewable energy supply, aligned with portfolio strategy and growth targets.
Structure, negotiate and execute Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other medium- and long-term structured energy contracts.
Develop and maintain a strong origination pipeline,



including short-term hedges and structured products.
Manage the end-to-end deal process, from origination and term sheet negotiation through to contract execution.
Develop pricing strategies and contract structures aligned with market conditions, asset profiles and risk appetite, while assessing counterparty credit and contractual risks.
Perform financial and commercial analysis of PPA structures, including revenue modelling, scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
Work closely with Legal, Finance and Investment teams on contractual terms, revenue forecasting, asset valuation and investment analysis.
Monitor energy market trends, regulatory developments and pricing signals impacting PPA competitiveness and portfolio optimization.
Prepare commercial proposals, internal approvals and executive-level materials for investment committees and senior management.
3–7 years of experience in Energy Origination, PPA Structuring, Energy Trading, Investment Analysis or Energy Management.
~ Proven experience in negotiating and/or supporting PPAs or structured energy contracts is highly valued.
~ Experience in renewable energy markets, particularly wind and/or solar, is strongly preferred.




~ Exposure to energy trading, hedging or portfolio management is a plus.
~ Experience in financial modelling and deal structuring within the energy or infrastructure sectors.
~ Experience working with corporates, utilities or industrial off-takers is a plus.

Strong understanding of electricity markets and renewable energy value chains.
Strong knowledge of PPA structures, including physical, virtual, corporate, sleeved and hybrid PPAs.
Understanding of price formation, hedging mechanisms and energy risk exposure.
Strong financial and commercial modelling skills, including NPV, IRR, scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
Advanced Excel skills; Power BI and/or Python knowledge is a plus.
Good understanding of Iberian or European energy markets.
Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to structure and manage complex deals.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and senior stakeholders.
Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese knowledge is a plus.
