Location: Spain — Barcelona preferred, open to candidates across Spain Contract Type: Freelance / B2 B Duration: 9 weeks — 28 September to 30 November 2026 Language: Fluent English required About the Role We are looking for a Senior SAP Manufacturing Consultant with strong SAP PP expertise to join an international team supporting a SAP S/4 HANA Clean Core on RISE Assessment for a leading Med Tech company in Spain. This is an assessment and advisory engagement, focused on process-led fit-to-standard analysis rather than implementation. You will be responsible for assessing current Production Planning and Manufacturing processes, identifying gaps against SAP S/4 HANA best practices, and defining future-state recommendations to support the client's transformation roadmap. Key Responsibilities: Lead AS-IS and TO-BE workshops with SAP Product Owners and business SMEs across Production Planning and Manufacturing. Perform fit-to-standard and fit-gap analysis for SAP PP processes. Contribute to L1–L3 process mapping, pain-point analysis and functional documentation. Assess the impact of existing custom developments such as Z-programs, user exits and BAd Is on the future S/4 HANA landscape. Evaluate relevant S/4 HANA simplifications and best practices, including MRP Live and production/process order capabilities. Prepare the S/4 HANA Fit/Gap Report and Future-State Process Definition documentation. Provide Manufacturing input into the Target Architecture Pack, Migration Readiness Pack, roadmap and Transformation Business Case. Collaborate with MM/IM, Quality/Regulatory and Finance/Product Costing workstreams on cross-functional processes and integrations.



Work closely with the Technical Architect to identify opportunities for Clean Core adoption and reduction of customisation. Must-Have Requirements: 10+ years of hands-on SAP PP consulting experience. Proven experience with at least one SAP S/4 HANA implementation, fit-to-standard/process assessment or Clean Core readiness assessment. Strong knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA Manufacturing and PP best practices. Solid understanding of MRP Live and S/4 HANA production/process order simplifications. Proven experience facilitating business-process workshops with senior stakeholders. Strong experience producing fit-gap analysis, process mapping and assessment documentation. Comfortable working in an advisory/assessment environment, rather than solely in implementation projects. Fluent English, both spoken and written. Nice to Have: Experience within Life Sciences, Med Tech or Pharma manufacturing. Exposure to PP-PI, batch manufacturing, batch records or electronic batch record integration. Experience with SAP Signavio Process Insights and/or SAP Readiness Check. Knowledge of SAP Activate and RISE with SAP readiness assessments. Working knowledge of Spanish. ? Future Opportunity This engagement focuses on assessment and strategic recommendations rather than implementation. Depending on project outcomes and client decisions, consultants may have the opportunity to participate in a subsequent multi-year SAP Clean Core / RISE transformation programme.
