? SAP SD Functional Consultant | S/4HANA Clean Core on RISE Assessment (Spain)

We're looking for an experienced SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) Functional Consultant to join a strategic SAP S/4HANA Clean Core on RISE Assessment engagement for an international client.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key advisory role in assessing and designing the future-state Order-to-Bill (O2B) process, helping shape the roadmap and business case for a potential large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation.

Assignment Overview

As the SAP SD Functional Consultant, you will lead the process-level fit-to-standard analysis for the Order-to-Bill stream, including:

✅ Current-state review (AS-IS)

✅ Gap analysis against SAP S/4HANA best practices

✅ Future-state process design (TO-BE)

✅ Contribution to transformation roadmap and business case

Please note: this is an assessment engagement, not an implementation project.

Key Responsibilities

- Facilitate AS-IS Review and TO-BE Recommendation workshops with business stakeholders, SAP Product Owners and SMEs.
- Support CRM integration discussions where SAP SD and Salesforce processes intersect.
- Contribute to L1-L3 process mapping, Fit-Gap analysis and pain-point identification for the Order-to-Bill process.
- Leverage outputs from SAP Signavio Process Insights and SAP Readiness Check assessments.
- Assess the impact of existing SD custom developments (Z-programs, user exits, pricing routines, output management, etc.) against S/4HANA standard processes.
- Work closely with the Technical Architect to evaluate Clean Core readiness and simplification opportunities.
- Produce Fit-Gap documentation, Future-State Process Definitions and inputs for the Target Architecture Pack.
- Contribute to the Validated Scope Document, Migration Readiness Pack, transformation roadmap and business case.
- Collaborate with Logistics (MM/IM)



and Finance (FI-AR) teams on end-to-end integration points.

✅ Required Experience

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP SD consulting .
- Demonstrated involvement in at least one:
- SAP S/4HANA Fit-to-Standard Assessment
- Clean Core Readiness Assessment
- SAP S/4HANA Greenfield or Brownfield implementation
- Strong knowledge of S/4HANA simplification items and best practices, including:
- Business Partner approach
- Output Management / BRF+
- Pricing
- ATP / aATP
- Proven ability to facilitate workshops and engage with senior client stakeholders.
- Experience producing Fit-Gap analyses, process documentation and assessment reports.
- Comfortable working in a consulting/advisory environment focused on assessment and recommendations.
- Fluent English (spoken and written).

⭐ Nice to Have

- Experience in Life Sciences, MedTech or Pharmaceutical industries.
- Familiarity with:
- SAP Signavio Process Insights
- SAP Readiness Check
- Process mining and assessment tools
- Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology.
- Experience supporting RISE with SAP readiness assessments.
- Spanish language skills.

Language Requirements

English: Fluent (mandatory)

Spanish: Advantageous but not required

Preferred Location

Candidates based in or near Barcelona are strongly preferred.

9 weeks (28 Sept – 30 Nov 2026)

Future Opportunity

While this engagement focuses on assessing readiness and defining the future-state solution, there may be opportunities to participate in a subsequent 2-3 year SAP Clean Core / RISE transformation program , subject to client approval and project outcomes.
