Role Objective

Provide administrative and accounting support, ensuring accurate recording of operations, regulatory compliance in Spain, and efficiency in Banpay EU’s internal processes.

Reports to: Managing Director, Banpay International

Key Responsibilities

1. Administrative Management

- Handle calls, emails, and internal coordination.
- Organize schedules, meetings, and basic logistics.
- Manage physical and digital documentation (contracts, invoices, records).
- Maintain filing systems in line with audit and internal control standards.
- Oversee office supplies and provide operational support.

1. Accounting Functions

- Record income and expenses in accordance with the Spanish General Accounting Plan (PGC).
- Classify and post invoices and bank transactions.
- Support monthly closing processes.

1. Treasury and Reconciliations

- Perform periodic bank reconciliations.
- Monitor and track bank account movements.
- Manage petty cash and expense verification.

1. Accounts Receivable and Payable

- Follow up on client invoicing.
- Manage accounts receivable (aging).
- Handle supplier payments.
- Coordinate with the finance team to optimize cash flow.

1. Invoicing and Basic Tax Compliance

- Issue invoices in accordance with Spanish regulations.
- Manage VAT and maintain documentation for tax filings.
- Support preparation of information for taxes and audits.
- Assist in compliance with obligations before the Spanish Tax Agency.

1. Compliance and Control

- Organize documentation for internal and external audits.




- Support basic compliance processes (KYC/KYB documentation).
- Handle data in accordance with GDPR requirements.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and document control procedures.

Profile Requirements:

Experience

- 2–4 years in administrative-accounting roles.
- Experience in accounting firms, consultancies, or financial companies (preferred).
- Advanced English.

Education
- Vocational training (FP) or Bachelor’s degree in:
- Business Administration and Finance
- Accounting
- Business Administration (ADE) or related field

Digital Tools
- Microsoft Excel (intermediate–advanced level).
- Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace.
- Experience with accounting software (A3, Sage, Holded, SAP, or similar).
- Experience with ERPs (Workday, NetSuite) is a plus.

Key Knowledge (Spain / EU)
- Practical knowledge of:
- Spanish General Accounting Plan (PGC)
- VAT (including basic intra-community transactions)
- Basic understanding of:
- Electronic invoicing
- Audit documentation management
- Nice to have:
- Basic knowledge of fintech/payments
- Compliance processes (KYC/KYB, AML)
