Our client is a leading clean energy company with a strong international presence across the renewable energy sector, covering the development, investment, construction and operation of renewable energy projects.
As part of its continued international growth, the company is looking for an experienced Director of Engineering & Construction to lead its E&C; activities across Europe and Latin America, based in Madrid - Spain.
The Role
As Director – Engineering & Construction, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Engineering & Construction function, overseeing the planning, design and execution of utility-scale renewable energy projects.
You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards, while developing a high-performing E&C; team and strengthening the company's construction capabilities across its international portfolio.
This is a senior leadership position, combining strategic responsibility with hands-on involvement in project delivery and construction.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the Engineering & Construction strategy across Europe and LATAM.
- Lead and develop the E&C; organisation, ensuring the right capabilities and resources are in place.
- Work closely with the Development and Commercial teams on new greenfield opportunities and project tenders.
- Support the company’s growth strategy by strengthening its project execution capabilities.
Engineering & Construction Delivery:
- Oversee the planning, engineering, construction and completion of renewable energy projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed timelines, budgets, quality requirements and technical standards.
- Establish and implement effective project management and construction processes.
