AI Tech Lead – Generative AI & Azure

About the role

We are looking for an

AI Tech Lead

to join a strategic AI program within a large international environment.
In this role, you will combine

hands-on technical expertise with technical leadership , leading a cross-functional AI squad of up to 6 engineers and helping shape the architecture, engineering standards, and delivery of production-ready AI solutions.
The main focus will be on

Generative AI, RAG, LLM-powered applications, scalable backend systems, and cloud-native AI solutions on Microsoft Azure .
You will work closely with Product Owners, Data Scientists, frontend developers, business teams, and other technical stakeholders to turn business needs into robust, scalable, and reliable AI products.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the technology while also acting as a

technical reference point for the team , driving engineering quality, mentoring others, and taking ownership of architectural decisions.

What you’ll do

Lead and coordinate a

cross-functional AI squad of up to 6 engineers ,



ensuring alignment on technical direction, priorities, and delivery timelines
Define and enforce

technical standards, engineering best practices, and architecture guidelines

across the squad
Design and oversee the development of

scalable backend systems and APIs

supporting AI-powered applications
Drive the design and implementation of

RAG architectures and LLM-based solutions
Architect and validate cloud-based AI solutions using

Microsoft Azure
Work with Azure services such as

Azure OpenAI, Azure Functions, App Services, Cosmos DB, and Azure Key Vault
Ensure AI solutions are designed with

scalability, security, maintainability, and production readiness

in mind
Conduct

code reviews , provide technical mentoring, and support the upskilling of squad members
Act as the technical interface between the engineering squad and stakeholders including

Product Owners, Data Scientists, fron
