A leading international construction company is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function for a major project in Spain. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of HR operations, with particular focus on labour relations, recruitment, payroll oversight, compliance, employee relations and alignment with Spanish labour legislation.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives and management decisions.
- Prepare and maintain HR policies and protocols in accordance with Spanish labour law and applicable HSE requirements.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes to attract and retain qualified talent.
- Oversee employee onboarding, training and development activities, including the use of relevant learning platforms.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and employee-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and coordinate with Legal on compliance matters, policies and the Equality Plan.
- Manage labour inspections and maintain professional interaction with the Labour Inspectorate.
- Handle employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
- Coordinate with Quality/QA teams on ISO-related HR documentation and support relevant legal and compliance analyses.
- Support personnel and workforce-management systems and processes, including QUIOO.
- Coordinate occupational medical examinations and support Health & Safety management.
- Manage workplace drug-detection processes in line with applicable requirements and company procedures.
- Coordinate labour-related legal matters involving subcontractors, including support in court cases where required.
- Prepare regular HR reporting covering visas, personnel, recruitment, organisation charts, payroll and training.
Candidate Profile (Qualifications)

- Relevant university degree or vocational qualification in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong professional experience in Human Resources, with management experience;
approximately 5 years of people-management experience is expected.
- Strong knowledge of Spanish labour law, labour relations and employment compliance.
- Experience in payroll management, recruitment, employee relations and occupational risk-prevention processes.
- Experience in an international and/or project-based environment;
construction-sector experience is an advantage.
- Good command of English;
ability to operate effectively in a multicultural working environment.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.

Technical & Systems Knowledge
Experience with HR and workforce-management systems such as Factorial, Biostar, QUIOO, Pharos, A3, LOGIC, META4 and/or SAP will be considered an asset.
