As Staff Data Analyst at Preply, you will own the data strategy for a key product domain and serve as the senior analytical authority. You collaborate with Directors and VPs across business, product, operations, and engineering to shape long-term strategy and ensure robust, scalable measurement. You translate user behavior, marketplace dynamics, and pricing into decision frameworks for leadership, driving step-change improvements in long-term value. This role combines strategic analytics with hands-on modeling to guide roadmap and investments. You’ll influence cross-functional partners and elevate analytical standards across the organization.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Develop strategic understanding of domain value drivers (user behavior, marketplace dynamics, pricing, long-term unit economics) and translate into decision frameworks for leadership
• Define long-term domain measurement and identify growth levers beyond incremental optimization
• Lead deep analyses of customer behavior and retention Dynamics to drive improvements in long-term value
• Own impact modeling and scenario analysis for major product initiatives to support quarterly/annual planning
• Govern key domain metrics ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with company objectives




• Design and execute analytics programs within the domain and test new ideas for business impact
• Act as senior thought partner to business, operations, product, engineering, and data leaders to raise analytical standards
• Lead cross-domain analytics initiatives (forecasting, scenario modeling, performance optimization)
Responsabilidades
• Proven track record influencing business, operations, or product strategy with measurable company-level impact
• Expertise in strategic analytics across a business pillar with consistent KPI definitions and standards
• Strong understanding of subscription and marketplace economics (LTV, cohort dynamics, retention, pricing)
• Strong technical proficiency (SQL, xqbhyrx Python) with ability to review and elevate others’ analytics and design scalable workflows
• Curiosity, problem-solving and critical-thinking; proactive in addressing challenges
• Ability to influence Directors/VPs and navigate conflicting incentives in strategic discussions
• Interest in product roadmap impact and strategic direction
• Experience mentoring senior data analysts and contributing to data organization growth
