In this role you will drive critical platform initiatives that power AstraZeneca’s AI-driven research and operations. You’ll translate the platform strategy into scalable, reliable components and work with vendors and internal customers to accelerate discovery and safety systems. You will help shape a cloud-native, secure, multi-tenant AI platform that enables data scientists and engineers to work at scale. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role in a dynamic, innovation-led environment with strong investment in digital transformation.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Design, implement and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, high availability, and security across environments
• Integrate and optimize vendor platforms (Domino, Databricks, Dataiku) for enterprise use
• Plan and execute vendor feature rollouts and maintain alignment with platform strategy
• Design seamless integrations between AI platforms and data systems (S3, Snowflake) with governance tooling
• Automate deployments and operations via CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, CodePipeline)
• Own work packages end-to-end from planning to deployment
• Maintain ML environments (Databricks, Domino) and observability (CloudWatch,



Prometheus, ELK)
• Collaborate with security/compliance teams to enforce IAM, encryption, and governance
• Engage AI scientists and engineers to translate needs into platform capabilities
• Contribute to incident response and continuous improvement of platform operations
Responsabilidades
• 5+ years of AWS experience (compute, storage, networking, IAM)
• Proficiency with Terraform, AWS CDK or CloudFormation
• Linux administration and networking fundamentals
• IAM, encryption, and security best practices
• Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
• CI/CD tooling experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, CodePipeline)
• Experience supporting xqbhyrx AI/ML workloads and serverless tech
• Scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with data platforms (S3, Snowflake) and governance tools (Immuta, Collibra)
• Vendor platform experience (Domino, Databricks, Dataiku)
• Agile delivery experience
