This role is based in our Málaga office .
An Architectural Technologist is responsible for translating design concepts into detailed technical solutions, ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standards of constructability, performance and compliance.
They demonstrate strong technical knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and building regulations, with proficiency in BIM and digital design tools.
They report to the Senior Architect/Architectural Technologist and/or Associate to develop and coordinate technical drawings and specifications, resolve design and detailing challenges and support the delivery of projects through all stages. They will work on a project team and mentor junior employees. They will ensure coordination of information from the Design Team and other project consultants. They are responsible for meeting project deliverables and reporting issues to their manager.
Works four days in the office or on site as per Company policy.
An Architectural Technologist has experience working across a range of project stages. They have achieved successful outcomes in projects they have worked on. Construction knowledge, regulatory compliance and building performance.
BIM and digital design tool proficiency.
Quality assurance and buildability understanding.
Bachelor or higher degree of Architecture, Architectural Technology or industry related equivalent.
Circa 3 – 5 years of post-qualified experience.
Familiar with current Building Planning Regulations and the application of these and similar variations internationally.
Production of technically sound architectural deliverables (drawings, specification, schedules) using Revit, BIM 360 and AutoCad, in accordance with project standards and schedule.
Produce sketch / conceptual design for projects, including production of presentation material, under the direction of senior employees.
Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance project outcomes.
Actively participate in industry events to represent and promote the practice and build industry networks.
Liaising with Project Manager / Contract Administrator.
Site visits including overseas travel to provide construction, technical and architectural support in line with the agreed project scope.
Ability to collaboratively solve complex problems working constructively with key project stakeholders.
