QA Test Engineer

Role Description The Quality Assurance Test Engineer is a full-time role based in the Brussels Metropolitan Area with a hybrid work arrangement, (two days per week in the office). This role involves designing, executing, and maintaining manual test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.

The Quality Assurance Test Engineer collaborates closely with software developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to identify defects, clarify requirements, and ensure that issues are resolved before release. Daily responsibilities include performing regression and functional testing, documenting test results, tracking defects, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.

The role also involves participating in sprint activities, providing input on test coverage, and helping maintain high quality standards across the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

- Strong Quality Assurance and Software Testing skills, with experience applying structured testing methodologies.




- Proficiency in Manual Testing and writing clear, comprehensive Test Cases for different types of software features.
- Understanding of Software Development principles and the software development lifecycle, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to identify, document, and communicate defects and risks clearly.
- Experience with Test Automation tools like Selenium, Cypress or PlayWright
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment in the Brussels Metropolitan Area, managing time and priorities independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in agile or Scrum-based teams and an interest in continuous learning and process improvement.
