Job Title: Vertex Consultant

Location: Beerse, Belgium

Work arrangement: Hybrid, with 2 days per month in the office

Initial duration: 12 months+, extendable

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Vertex Consultant to support indirect tax technology initiatives across application services, integrations, testing, production support, and project delivery. The adecuado candidate will have strong enterprise application experience and hands-on expertise with Vertex environments, particularly in complex SAP-integrated landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support Vertex application initiatives, enhancements, upgrades, and ongoing operational activities across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with Tax, IT, ERP, infrastructure, and application support teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver project milestones.
- Support integrations between Vertex and enterprise platforms such as SAP, Ariba, Central Finance (CFIN), Transact, Transcend, Osprey, and other connected applications.
- Participate in functional and technical testing, defect analysis and resolution, documentation, deployment, and production-readiness activities.
- Monitor and support tax determination processes to ensure application reliability, data accuracy, and business continuity.
- Assist with incident, problem, change, and release management activities related to Vertex applications.




- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including application performance, support processes, controls, and documentation.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Hands-on experience with Vertex O Series, Vertex integrations, or comparable indirect tax technology platforms.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application support, incident management, change management, testing, and release processes.
- Experience supporting tax applications integrated with SAP or other enterprise ERP platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and coordinate resolution across multiple teams.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders in a complex, global enterprise environment.
- Strong documentation, communication, coordination, and follow-through skills.
- Self-driven, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and support both project and operational activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Vertex deployments across both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Knowledge of indirect tax processes, including tax determination and related ERP integration flows.
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation, ERP, or tax technology programs.
