Amentum, a general leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Patrol Boat Operator to support a unique US Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia.

Job Responsibilities

The Patrol Boat Operator is responsible for the safe operation and coordination of patrol boat activities to ensure the safety and security of watercraft and personnel in the designated area. This role requires adherence to Navy standards and instructions and the ability to conduct rescue operations when necessary. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operating patrol boats to visually verify that all craft in the area are operational and accounted for.
- Conducting regular patrols to monitor the number of persons aboard watercraft and ensure all individuals are accounted for.
- Maintaining a visual check of watercraft in the designated area to detect any anomalies, safety issues, or unauthorized activity.
- Recording and logging all verifications of craft operations,



personnel counts, and incidents during patrols in accordance with NAVSUPPFACDGINST 3130.3 series.
- Preparing accurate reports of patrol boat activities, including any observations, incidents, or rescue operations.
- Initiating rescue operations promptly and efficiently in the event of distress or emergency, following Navy protocols and safety standards.
- Coordinating with other rescue and support teams during emergencies to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel involved.
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance of patrol boat equipment to ensure it is always operational and ready for deployment.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and operational procedures while operating patrol boats and conducting assigned tasks.
