The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC) is
seeking a Health & Safety Officer to carry out duties aimed at protecting the occupational health and well-being of our staff, providing them with a safe and healthy working environment, and fostering a culture of prevention at our centre.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Establish and promote a culture of prevention throughout the organization.
- Identify hazards and risks inherent to all activities and work areas and inform staff of their existence along with relevant prevention and control measures.
- Protect the occupational health and well-being of staff by providing a safe, healthy working environment and conditions compliant with applicable legislation.
- Develop training and awareness-raising plans for staff on obligations and risk prevention policies, management of preventive measures, creation of procedures and work instructions, management of medical examinations, coordination of business activities (CAE), implementation of Self-Protection Plans (PAU), etc.
- Onboarding/induction of new hires on prevention matters,



and general support during the induction process.

WHAT WE NEED
- University degree in Biology or a related field.
- Official master's degree as a Senior Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention, covering all three disciplines (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics/Psychosociology).
- At least 5 years of experience working in a scientific or research organization, managing occupational risk within a scientific setting.
- Prior experience in the creation and/or coordination of an In-House/Internal Occupational Health and Safety Service.
- Experience delivering training in English.
- Good professional proficiency in Catalan and Spanish.
- Minimum C1 level of English.
