Our client acquires and operates mission-critical software businesses across a range of niche vertical markets, with a long-term ownership approach and active acquisition strategy. The Role This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious early-career professional to join the Corporate Development team of a highly acquisitive international software investor. Working across the M&A; lifecycle, you will help identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities, build relationships with founders and advisers, support early-stage due diligence, and contribute to the development of a high-quality acquisition pipeline. The role offers direct exposure to software M&A;, senior stakeholders, and real transaction activity within a fast-paced acquisitive environment.



Key Responsibilities * Research and identify potential acquisition targets across software and technology markets. * Build and maintain target company databases and acquisition pipelines. * Conduct outreach to founders, CEOs, shareholders and directors of prospective acquisition targets. * Develop relationships with M&A; advisors, brokers, corporate finance boutiques and specialist sector intermediaries. * Generate, qualify and nurture acquisition opportunities over time. * Monitor software market activity, industry trends and relevant M&A; transactions. * Review company information and financial statements to support opportunity assessment and prioritisation. * Maintain accurate CRM records, outreach activity and pipeline reporting.
