Senior Accountant within WPP’s Finance Shared Services, owning complex general accounting and reporting. You will drive accurate records, strong controls, and timely closes, while contributing to Finance Transformation through standardisation, automation, and AI adoption. Collaborating across Finance teams, you will ensure audit-ready evidence and continuous improvement of RTR processes. This role balances deep accounting expertise with a transformation mindset in a general, hybrid environment.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Own general ledger activities including complex journal entries, accruals, prepayments, reclassifications and balance sheet reconciliations
• Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with defined timelines and issue resolution
• Ensure accurate posting of accounting entries in ERP and challenge unusual or unsupported transactions
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies
• Maintain internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit-ready documentation
• Support financial reporting, variance analysis,
and accounting reviews; flag risks and unusual movements
• Collaborate with PTP, OTC, Treasury, Tax and OpCo to resolve complex issues
• Act as a technical reference point for Analyst profiles and support knowledge transfer
• Lead continuous improvement to simplify and automate RTR processes and promote automation and AI tools
• Support ad-hoc accounting, reporting, audit and transformation requests
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Experience in accounting, RTR, audit or financial reporting within a Shared Services or corporate environment
• Experience coordinating annual audits and reviewing information for external auditors
• Experience performing and reviewing intercompany reconciliations
• Solid understanding of accounting principles with exposure to IFRS (incl. IFRS 16) and Spanish GAAP; BE GAAP/NL GAAP desirable
