2. Role Introduction

We are looking for a European Product Safety & Compliance Specialist to join the Microwave & Oven Division of the European R&D; Center within Midea's Smart Home Appliances Business Group, based in Zaragoza, Spain.

This is a full-time, permanent position with dual reporting to the local R&D; Leader and the Quality Department Head in China, offering the opportunity to shape product safety and regulatory compliance strategy for Midea's rapidly expanding oven and microwave portfolio across the European market.

What You'll Do

- Responsible for quality control of new products in the European market, including evaluation and testing projects, product performance, and market feedback after launch, to ensure products meet safety and compliance requirements.
- Guide the formulation of user quality standards for key products in the European market to enhance user experience.
- Offering regulatory expertise for product planning, understanding differences between state requirements, and training and guiding design teams in Europe and China to help them understand and assist in bringing compliant products to the European market.

What You'll Bring

- Extensive experience in testing gas ovens in the European Market,



enabling deep understanding of specific European market needs and standards.
- Proficient in European safety regulations to ensure products meet all necessary safety standards.
- Having a background in device design enables you to ensure product quality and safety from a design perspective.

Nice to Have

- Membership or active involvement in European standards committees relevant to gas cooking appliances (e.g., CEN/TC 49 – Gas cooking appliances, CEN/TC 106 – Large kitchen appliances using gaseous fuels, or corresponding national mirror committees such as UNI in Italy, DIN in Germany, or AFNOR in France).
- Prior participation in industry standards development or regulatory consultation, with the ability to represent the company's interests in technical discussions with regulatory authorities and notified bodies.
