Job Title: Senior PCS 7 Automation Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior PCS 7 Automation Engineer. You will be responsible for the day-to-day support and management of the PCS 7 environment, ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical production systems.

Working within the Daily Operations team, you will provide technical support, troubleshoot complex automation issues, implement minor system modifications, and advise stakeholders on best practices and optimisation opportunities. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial automation systems, their interdependencies, and the regulatory requirements associated with a highly controlled manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical support for the Siemens PCS 7 automation environment.
- Troubleshoot automation and process control issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Perform impact assessments for proposed system changes and enhancements.
- Execute minor modifications and continuous improvement activities.
- Work closely with Quality teams to ensure compliant implementation of changes.
- Advise stakeholders on technical risks, priorities,



and optimisation opportunities.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and knowledge transfer activities.
- Support operational continuity within a multidisciplinary manufacturing environment.

Required Experience / Technical Skills

- Extensive experience with Siemens PCS 7 and industrial automation systems.
- Strong background supporting automation systems within operational manufacturing environments.
- Ability to understand complex automation architectures and system dependencies.
- Proven troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience.
- Experience implementing system improvements and managing change activities.
- Ability to translate business and customer requirements into executable technical solutions.
- Strong documentation, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider teams.
- Familiarity with FAT/SAT testing, protocols, and reporting.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, process control, or batch production systems.

Additional Requirements

- Native-level Dutch language skills is a must.
- Willingness to work primarily on-site.
- Interest in a long-term assignment.
