We are looking for a hands-on Tech Lead / Engineering Lead to lead the development of a fintech platform, combining technical leadership, architectural ownership and delivery accountability.
The role sits at the intersection of engineering, architecture and execution, leading both internal engineers and external development partners while maintaining direct involvement in complex technical decisions and critical engineering work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead internal engineering teams and external development partners, ensuring delivery, quality and technical alignment.
- Own technical execution across architecture, development, testing, releases and production readiness.
- Ensure adherence to architectural principles and lead technical reviews and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
- Establish and enforce engineering standards around code reviews, CI/CD, testing, Definition of Done and technical debt.
- Review and accept deliverables against criteria including security, performance, observability, maintainability and deployment readiness.
- Manage external engineering partners,



ensuring transparency, knowledge transfer and minimisation of vendor dependency.
- Participate in incident response, post-mortems and root-cause analysis.
- Remain hands-on through complex code and design reviews, technical prototypes and production development when required.

EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a Tech Lead, Engineering Lead, Development Lead or equivalent position.
- Strong hands-on development experience with Go and distributed architectures.
- Proven experience with AWS, Kubernetes and cloud-native production environments.
- Experience leading both internal engineering teams and external development partners.
- Demonstrable ownership of technical delivery, architecture and engineering quality.
- Experience in fintech, banking, payments or other regulated environments is strongly preferred.
