We’re looking for a Technical Director - Cosmetic R&D;

One of our customers, a growing cosmetics company in the Barcelona area, is looking for a Technical Director to lead and develop its R&D; function.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced cosmetics professional who wants to take a key role in the technical development of a company and work at the intersection of cosmetic science, formulation, innovation and product development.

Your role

You will be responsible for leading the company’s technical and R&D; activities, including:
- Development and optimisation of cosmetic formulations
- Management and coordination of R&D; projects
- Technical documentation and product specifications
- Evaluation of raw materials, ingredients and suppliers
- Collaboration with suppliers, laboratories and external partners




- Driving innovation and new product development
- Coordination of the technical/R&D; team
- Working with digital tools and systems supporting cosmetic R&D;

We’re looking for
- Solid experience in cosmetic R&D; and formulation
- Strong knowledge of cosmetic ingredients and product development
- Experience managing R&D; projects and/or technical teams
- Analytical, organised and hands‑on approach
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with production, regulatory, purchasing and commercial teams
- Fluent Spanish and English; Catalan is a plus
- Based in or willing to work in the Barcelona area

This is a senior position with significant responsibility and impact within the company.
