As a Backend Engineer in Málaga, you will advance the Sportsbook domain by delivering scalable, secure backends and shaping the architecture. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to validate designs and drive impactful solutions. The role focuses on building production-ready services, improving observability, and mentoring teammates, all within a fast-paced, agile environment.

This is an opportunity to influence backend direction and contribute to the company’s mission in igaming.

- Own problems and collaborate across teams to design and implement solutions from idea to production
- Build scalable, available, high-performance, and secure services across the stack
- Work with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and developers in an agile setting

- Conduct code reviews and mentor teammates to raise engineering quality
- Ensure production readiness through monitoring, alerts, and on-call participation

Responsabilidades

- 4+ years of software development experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Experience with event-driven architectures and designing microservices
- Knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, and Kafka messaging systems
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and caching xugodme
- Implementing resilience patterns (retries, circuit breakers, graceful degradation)
- Experience building highly scalable RESTful microservices
- Experience designing monitoring dashboards (metrics, logs, traces) and alerts
