Business Operations Intern (Onboarding & Process) — EXFI Operations, EXFI — Canggu, Bali

EXFI operations & onboarding · EXFI · On-site, Canggu, Bali · 4–6 months · Melbourne as the track after

What does it take to turn a cross-border client from an application form into a fully compliant multi-currency account without one missing document? This is a Business Operations Intern working end-to-end onboarding and process for EXFI operations. EXFI gives globally operating companies one multi-currency account with dedicated IBANs in GBP, EUR, USD, CAD, CHF and 13+ currencies, SWIFT and SEPA payment rails, competitive FX, and intercompany settlement.

Payment services are provided by Gemba Finance Ltd, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN: 804853); EXFI is Gemba's white-label distribution partner, not the bank. The work is the unglamorous layer that makes the whole account safe and repeatable: one process miss, one expired document, one broken trace, and the account stops. You leave with the proof employers hire on.

Everyone has a degree. Almost nobody has proof. Monday reset, Friday ship: you send the work.

What you build

Not a task list. The thing you build.

You assemble the client onboarding file: entity details, beneficial ownership, signatory records, and account forms matched to the regulated standard Gemba Finance Ltd requires.

You work on the know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering (KYC/AML) review pack that flags missing documents and risk items before an account gets approved.

The process log stays current in one dashboard: every onboarding step, every status, every blocker.

The reconciliation sheet ties the onboarding record to the first multi-currency account activation.

The bar A client onboarding checklist made outside coursework, with the missing documents named.

A process map another person can follow without you in the room.

A compliance task pushed forward until every checkbox was backed by a file.

A mismatch between a payment record and a client file, caught and fixed.

Who this is for

This is for recent graduates in finance, economics, business, accounting, or operations who want hands-on exposure to regulated cross-border payments. The work is checking every document before it leaves the room. Checking the reference number twice. Staying with the onboarding file until the process is repeatable. Two years from now, the goal is running client operations, not watching it.

Where you do it — and why here

Thirty years building companies — New York, London, Tokyo, the Valley — and then it stopped mattering where the work happened. So the program runs on-site in Canggu. A modern company costs twelve people and a toolchain, so being wrong six times a year is part of how we build.

The work does not need a glass tower; it needs clean documents, clear process steps, and a room where the person accountable for the decision is two desks away. The job is here because onboarding and process is the layer that keeps a cross-border account safe and repeatable. The campus is 4,000 sqm,

and the people who run the companies are on it every day.

That means sitting next to the person who signs off on the process, not in another time zone. Decisions happen in the same room where the work is done. Epic Solutions PT runs the on-site program here. What this location buys is attention, not a view.

This is not remote work: one fixed cohort, one program, on-site.

What happens after

This is phase one: getting the right people in to start. Seventeen interns have moved into full-time roles across the companies. For EXFI, the paid destination is Melbourne. The destination role and its terms are agreed before you commit, never after. Earned, not guaranteed.

Terms

Unpaid under Indonesian law. A room is available on campus — rent paid by you. Epic Solutions PT hosts the on-site program and assists with the C22B internship visa process; the visa fee is yours. Daily lunch on us. Starting September.

Questions about the fit or the timeline? Tell us — we'll talk you through how the program actually runs.

Requirements A degree in finance, economics, business, accounting, or equivalent — you have proven you can finish something.

You drive Claude Code, Hermes, or Codex every day on onboarding documents, process maps, and dashboards, and you catch what the AI gets wrong.

A process, checklist, or dashboard you made without being asked.

Available for four to six months on-site.

How to apply The work is the application. Apply via the LinkedIn application field. Submit your CV and the process or dashboard you made.

A finished CV was never the point. What counts is a thing you've built and the drive to build the next one. That is who we are looking for.
