We are looking for a hands-on Tech Lead / Engineering Lead to lead the development of a fintech platform, combining technical leadership, architectural ownership and delivery accountability.

The role sits at the intersection of engineering, architecture and execution , leading both internal engineers and external development partners while maintaining direct involvement in complex technical decisions and critical engineering work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead internal engineering teams and external development partners, ensuring delivery, quality and technical alignment.
- Own technical execution across architecture, development, testing, releases and production readiness.
- Ensure adherence to architectural principles and lead technical reviews and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
- Establish and enforce engineering standards around code reviews, CI/CD, testing, Definition of Done and technical debt.
- Review and accept deliverables against criteria including security, performance, observability, maintainability and deployment readiness.
- Manage external engineering partners, ensuring transparency, knowledge transfer and minimisation of vendor dependency.
- Participate in incident response, post-mortems and root-cause analysis.
- Remain hands-on through complex code and design reviews, technical prototypes and production development when required.

EXPERIENCE:

- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a Tech Lead,



Engineering Lead, Development Lead or equivalent position.
- Strong hands-on development experience with Go and distributed architectures.
- Proven experience with AWS, Kubernetes and cloud-native production environments .
- Experience leading both internal engineering teams and external development partners.
- Demonstrable ownership of technical delivery, architecture and engineering quality.
- Experience in fintech, banking, payments or other regulated environments is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of security, resilience, observability, disaster recovery and operational risk.
- Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs considering security, scalability, maintainability, delivery and total cost of ownership .
- Strong technical communication skills and ability to work across Engineering, Product, Security, Risk and Compliance.
- English B2+ . Spanish is a plus.
