OverviewAs Associate Cost Manager (Lease Portfolio Europe) at Linesight, you will operate within highly experienced, culturally diverse teams focused on delivering strategic cost control across a multi‑country lease portfolio. This role places a strong emphasis on commercial performance, cost optimisation, and financial governance across leased assets, rather than traditional single‑project delivery.You will work in a hybrid/remote capacity, collaborating across European stakeholders, supporting programme level cost management, and influencing key financial decisions across a dynamic and evolving portfolio.In this role you will:Lead cost management across a European lease portfolio, ensuring effective budget control, forecasting, and cost optimisation across multiple sitesManage and oversee operational and capital expenditure (OPEX/CAPEX) within leased environments, ensuring alignment with client financial objectivesActively participate in tender/bid processes for lease related works, including analysis, benchmarking, and commercial evaluationDrive the change management process, identifying, analysing, and implementing cost impacts across lease agreements and associated worksProvide cost planning, benchmarking, and reporting at portfolio level to support strategic decision‑makingAnalyse supplier and contractor proposals to ensure value for money and commercial complianceSupport the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including lease exit costs, dilapidations, and associated claimsOversee portfolio spend through regular cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis, clearly communicating risks and opportunitiesSupport dispute resolution, including loss and expense, claims,
and commercial negotiations within lease agreementsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple regions to ensure consistent commercial governance and reporting standardsMentor and support junior team members where required, contributing to a high‑performing commercial functionWe would love to hear from you if you:Have 7–8+ years’ experience in cost management / quantity surveying, ideally within consultancy environmentsHave experience managing costs across multiple projects or portfolios, preferably within a lease or real‑estate environmentHave strong experience in commercial management, cost planning, and financial control, including change management processesIdeally have exposure to data centre, mission‑critical, or large‑scale infrastructure projectsAre charteredHave a degree or equivalent experience in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Construction related disciplineAre highly proficient in cost reporting, financial analysis, and stakeholder communicationAre comfortable working in a remote/hybrid environment, managing priorities across multiple regions and stakeholdersDemonstrate strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to influence decision‑making at a senior levelLinesight is committed to transparent, equal opportunity employment practices.
