SAP S/4HANA Finance Transformation Advisor

12-Month Contract | Fully Remote | Open to Candidates Across Europe

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Transformation Advisor to support a general Finance Transformation Lead throughout the preparation and execution of a large-scale S/4HANA transformation programme.

This is a senior-level advisory and delivery role, requiring an individual who can act as both a trusted strategic advisor and a hands-on SAP Finance expert. You will help Finance leadership understand S/4HANA impacts, drive key decisions, manage risks, and execute critical transformation activities across the programme life cycle.

Key Requirements

- 12+ years of SAP Finance experience, including multiple SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation programmes.
- Deep expertise across Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Asset Accounting, Product Costing, Treasury, Financial Close, and Management Reporting.
- Strong knowledge of S/4HANA Finance mandatory changes, including Universal Journal, Business Partner/CVI, New Asset Accounting, Finance simplification items, reporting, controls, and data impacts.
- Direct experience in multi-instance, brownfield and bluefield (selective data transition) environments, including hands-on experience with SUM-based brownfield conversion mechanics, New GL/document splitting migration, and pre- versus post-SUM configuration sequencing.
- Proven ability to advise business and IT leadership on transformation strategy, design decisions, implementation risks, organisational readiness, and value realisation.
- Hands-on experience conducting assessments,



facilitating workshops, documenting requirements, validating solution designs, reviewing system integrator deliverables, and supporting testing, cutover, and deployment activities.
- Ability to identify process, data, compliance, and operating model impacts and translate them into actionable plans and deliverables.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, SAP CoE, Internal Controls, and implementation partners.
- Experience working within global, complex, matrixed organisations and large-scale transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the Finance CoE lead advisor throughout the S/4HANA transformation journey.
- Assess Finance readiness and identify key business, process, data, and governance impacts.
- Challenge and validate recommendations provided by the System Integrator.
- Lead Finance workshops, requirements definition sessions, fit-gap analysis, and decision-making activities.
- Support testing, reconciliation, cutover preparation, and deployment readiness.
- Provide practical recommendations while actively contributing to project deliverables, action plans, assessments, and executive-level materials.
