Location: Tenerife, Spain | Start Date: June/July | Duration: 6 months.At GVI Tenerife, you’ll be located on a diverse island destination, helping guide research projects and support volunteers.Why this role mattersAs a Field Assistant in Tenerife, you will support the team in the day-to-day running of the programs and assist with managing participants who form part of our groups. The goal is to ensure our groups have a positive and productive experience during their time with GVI.This role suits someone who thrives in the field, balancing rigorous science, engaging training, and real-life field challenges.ResponsibilitiesSupport the running of projects and the daily operations of the GVI baseAssist with project work including planning sessionsManage groups on a day-to-day basis to ensure a positive experienceInteract with local partners for certain activitiesDeliver presentations and training relevant to project activitiesAct as an enthusiastic role model for participants and provide guidance and mentorshipQualificationsPassion for sustainable development and marine conservationPeople-centric mindset; comfortable with being on duty 24/7Experience managing and overseeing groups/participants/students (in-country training provided)EU passport or valid work permitAdvantageous:
