EDITORIAL PROJECT ASSISTANT INTERN

Based in Madrid | Native or bilingual English | Immediate start The Report Company produces business and investment reports featuring interviews with government leaders and CEOs, published through international media including Newsweek, USA Today, Gulf News and Die Welt.

We are looking for a smart, curious and highly organised intern to support our editorial department. The role combines research, editorial assistance, project coordination, communication with our international teams and the practical use of AI tools.

What you will do

- Research countries, industries, companies and international developments.
- Prepare topic outlines, background briefs and interview questions.
- Use AI tools for research, transcript analysis and content preparation, reviewing outputs critically for accuracy and quality.
- Coordinate with our international teams to collect interviews, transcripts and other materials.
- Follow up on tasks, deadlines and outstanding deliverables.
- Help organise and project-manage editorial workflows.
- Support the preparation, review and proofreading of editorial content.
- Learn and assist with podcast production, from research and planning to coordination and publication.

What we are looking for





- Native or fully bilingual English.
- Strong research, writing and organisational skills.
- An interest in international affairs, business and economics.
- Confidence using AI tools and enthusiasm for learning new platforms.
- Initiative, sound judgement and attention to detail.
- Confidence communicating with colleagues and following up when necessary.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and respond positively to feedback.

Previous professional experience is not essential. We are looking primarily for intelligence, maturity, initiative and a genuine willingness to learn.
